Guide to cruelty-free make-up

Dear all,

This is post is a bit different than all of the others I have posted past months.

Currently I am doing research on companies that (yes) still do test on animals. I have chosen to write an essay about this subject for Uni and I find it very interesting. At the moment a lot of us are unaware about this and just buy a product because the brand is “cool” “hip” “the best”. This may be true but it is yet not the best for everyone. I do not want to make this post very long or boring so I am going to list a couple of cosmetic companies that still test on animals. Also I will give you a list of companies that do not test on animals.

Companies that DO test on animals

  1. Benefit
  2. Bobbi Brown
  3. Chanel
  4. Clinique
  5. Cover Girl
  6. L’Oréal
  7. MAC cosmetics
  8. Max Factor
  9. Maybelline
  10. Rimmel London
  11. Sephora
  12. Tom Ford
  13. Yves Saint Laurent

Companies that DO NOT test on animals

  1. Hourglass
  2. Too Faced
  3. Anastasia Beverly Hills
  4. IT Cosmetics
  5. Catrice
  6. Essence
  7. Gosh
  8. Nars
  9. Urban Decay

I am not saying that you should start buy other products but  just think about it or take a look on the website of PETA. There is just too little awareness about this. Also if the product is completely cruelty free it is stated on the product box or at the back.

We can make the world a little bit better 😉
